There are french doors that lead to the patio where I can look out to the arbor filled with hanging baskets of flowering plants in spring, or watch the leaves descend from the wisteria plant overhead, as is the case now. To my right is my haberdashery cupboard where I store my threads, scissors and other tools, and which has a lovely vintage Singer handcrank on top. Usually I am forced to pick up one with a deadline, but sometimes I am itchy for inspiration so I grab one that does that for me. I have a large arm chair next to a large window on the right.
